Muscles and Chronic DehydrationIn my clinic www.massagecentral.com.au I always make people aware of how important water is to their general good health, including their muscle health and encourage them to drink as a general rule of thumb a liter of water for every 25kg of their weight. I was particularly encouraged when a client on vacation to Caloundra came to me for a massage at the start of his holiday and listened to my advice. When he came for his second massage at the end of his two-week vacation he said that the chronic pain in both elbows had disappeared and the foggy brain was no longer.
Etiology UnknownThere are many symptoms that are often described as having an ‘etiology unknown’ and are treated with strong chemicals issued from the doctor, which in turn may cause further pathologies that are yet again treated with more drugs and the chain continues. Yet simply supplying the body with abundant water may have prevented the symptoms in the first place. When you consider that our body is composed of 25% solid matter and 75% water surely this makes sense. I cannot understand why most people find such a simple cure for many chronic ailments as ‘too good to be true’. Water is both a life giver and a life sustaining substance! The body will give you many signals that you are dehydrated and literally beg you to consume water immediately. The very last thirst signal you will be given is ‘dry mouth’. Please be aware that the absence of ‘dry mouth’ does not mean that you are not chronically dehydrated. After this the thirst signals fade and come to a stop. Welcome to disease. I encourage everyone to take responsibility for your own health. An excellent book to read is called ‘Your body’s many cries for water ‘ by F. Batmanghelidj, M.D. You can also check out his website at www.watercure.com
